The meal program at Foundations may not get the attention that many of our other Premium Services for Children receive, but we give it the utmost attention. Nutrition play a vital role in the cognitive and physical development of children and it’s importance can not be underemphasized. We manage our food program to provide five meal times so children have plenty of opportunities to eat. We serve food that children enjoy and that meets our quality standards—whole meats, whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, and no sugary items like juices and cookies. You'll find that lunch time is an ideal time to drop-in for a visit as the children participate in family-style dining around the table, with dimmed down lights and calm music in the background. The menu changes every week to accommodate seasonal items and the preferences of the children at the school. For vegetarians, we offer a soy or other protein substitute for the meat items served at lunch.
